MARIA JOHNSON

Sheila White

Owner & Director, Imperial Gymnastics Academy


Sheila White is the Owner and Director of Imperial Gymnastics Academy. With degrees in Early Childhood Education and Business, she brings a unique blend of educational insight and entrepreneurial leadership to the program.

A devoted gymnastics mom for over 14 years, Sheila has a deep, personal understanding of the sport and the needs of young athletes and their families. For the past 5 years, she has played an active role in leading a successful competitive gymnastics program, helping to create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children can grow in confidence, strength, and coordination.

Her background in education informs every aspect of the program, ensuring that it supports not only physical development but also emotional and social growth. Sheila is passionate about fostering a positive, inclusive community where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

JOEY SANCHEZ

Coach Maddie

Head Team & Rec Coach &

Co-Assistant Director


Maddie is a dedicated and passionate coach at Imperial Gymnastics Academy, where she works with both team and recreational gymnasts. With over 20 years of personal experience in the sport, she brings a deep well of knowledge, skill, and perspective to her coaching. She capped off her senior year as a Level 9 Regional Qualifier and continued her gymnastics journey in college through club competition, further refining her technique and understanding of the sport.

Maddie also holds a Master’s degree in Social Work, which enhances her ability to support athletes on both a personal and professional level. She fosters a positive, growth-minded environment where gymnasts feel empowered to develop not only their athletic ability but also their confidence, discipline, and teamwork.

With a decade of coaching experience, Maddie has worked with athletes of all ages and levels. Her commitment to helping gymnasts reach their full potential is evident in her energy, encouragement, and genuine love for the sport. She is proud to be part of the Imperial Gymnastics Academy team, where she continues to inspire the next generation of gymnasts.

TRINA MILLER

Coach Stephanie

Head Preschool Coach &

Co-Assistant Director



Stephanie is a Recreational Team Coach at Imperial Gymnastics Academy with over 22 years of coaching experience, specializing in parent/tot and preschool gymnastics. Her deep knowledge of early childhood movement and development makes her a standout leader in creating strong foundations for young gymnasts.

In addition to her role at IGA, Stephanie also coaches the Westford Academy High School gymnastics team, where she helps athletes grow in both skill and confidence. Known for her patient and encouraging coaching style, Stephanie is passionate about helping gymnasts of all ages discover their potential in a fun, structured, and supportive environment.

Coach Ally

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Ally is a high school senior and future Quinnipiac University Bobcat, set to join the Acro & Tumbling program in Fall 2026! She brings a strong background in both gymnastics and cheerleading to her coaching role at Imperial Gymnastics Academy. She is currently a Level 9 DP gymnast, competing at both the club and high school levels.

At IGA, Ally coaches recreational and tumbling classes, where she enjoys helping young athletes build skills, strength, and confidence. With years of experience as both a gymnast and cheerleader, Ally brings energy, dedication, and a deep understanding of technique to every class she leads.

Coach Aliana

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Aliana was a gymnast for 9 years, starting with “Mommy and Me” classes and working her way up to Excel Gold. In middle school, she shifted her focus to cheerleading and has been cheering for her school ever since—enjoying every second of it!

At Imperial Gymnastics Academy, Aliana works with young athletes in Recreational and Tumbling classes, helping them improve and master their skills. She’s passionate about creating a fun, supportive environment where gymnasts can build confidence, learn new techniques, and fall in love with the sport—just like she did.

Coach Saniya

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Saniya brings over 10 years of combined gymnastics and cheerleading experience to her role at Imperial Gymnastics Academy. She began with gymnastics at a young age and eventually found her passion in cheer, participating in middle school, high school, and all-star cheerleading. Each level has helped shape her skills, discipline, and love for the sport.

At IGA, Saniya works with young athletes in Recreational and Tumbling classes, where she’s passionate about helping gymnasts improve, gain confidence, and develop new skills. Her goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where every athlete feels empowered to grow and succeed—both on and off the mat.

Coach Alivea

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Alivea brings many years of competitive dance experience to her role, infusing every class and event she leads with energy, rhythm, and creativity.

She loves working with young athletes and helping them develop new skills in a fun, supportive environment. Whether she’s coaching recreational classes or celebrating a birthday with gymnasts, Alivea brings a positive attitude and a genuine passion for movement that make every experience special.

Coach Bailey

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Bailey is a dedicated and passionate coach who brings both experience and heart to every athlete she works with. Inspired by the range of coaches she had growing up, she strives to be a mentor who empowers athletes to believe in themselves and reach their full potential. She especially values creating an inclusive environment where every athlete receives the same level of support and opportunity.

With nine years of competitive dance and a high school cheer background at Alvirne, Bailey developed a strong foundation in the sport that led her naturally into coaching. For the past eight years, she has volunteered as a recreational cheer coach in her community, working with athletes of all ages and particularly enjoying the progression and challenge of coaching older athletes.

Outside of coaching, Bailey works as a medical assistant, attends x-ray school, and stays active within the cheer community. She is committed to fostering a positive, growth-minded environment where athletes can build both skill and confidence.

Coach Hailey

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Hailey is a senior year in high school and brings over 12 years of gymnastics experience to Imperial Gymnastics Academy. She competed at the Xcel level and continues to stay involved in the sport through her high school gymnastics team. More recently, she made the exciting decision to shift her focus toward cheerleading and now cheers for high school cheer team.

At IGA, Hailey loves coaching young gymnasts and helping them develop their skills while having fun. She’s passionate about working with kids and enjoys being part of a positive, supportive coaching team made up of friends she’s met through the gym.

Coach Shayla

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Shayla discovered her love for coaching through the inspiration of her own coach, whose guidance and passion made a lasting impact. She brings years of experience to the gym, with many years of cheer, acrobatics and dance. Throughout her athletic career, she’s earned notable achievements, including winning “Best Flyer” at a competition and qualifying for states four years in a row.

She enjoys coaching athletes from preschool through high school, appreciating the unique personalities each age group brings and the opportunity to connect with every athlete. Her students describe her as understanding, kind, and energetic. Her favorite tumbling pass is a cartwheel tuck. Outside the gym, she enjoys working and cheering.

Coach Miley

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Miley brings years of cheerleading experience, leadership, and passion to every class she coaches. Inspired at a young age by the coaches who shaped her own athletic journey, she is dedicated to making a positive impact on today’s young athletes.

She grew up dancing and doing gymnastics since the age of five. Throughout high school, she cheered on the Alvirne Varsity cheer team for all four years and served as Captain during both her junior and senior seasons. Her competitive accomplishments include winning Cheersport Nationals in the Level 5 Senior Medium division and placing 6th at Worlds in the Small Coed division. This season, she will be competing with ECE Bombshells. Her favorite tumbling pass is a running full.

She especially loves coaching younger athletes, as she finds it inspiring to watch them fall in love with their sport, grow each week, and bring fun and excitement to the gym. Her athletes would describe her as fun, passionate, and caring—qualities she brings to every class.

Outside the gym, she is working toward becoming a licensed esthetician, with plans to attend college for nursing and ultimately become an aesthetic nurse. She loves helping others feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.

Coach Jayla

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Jayla is currently a Sapphire-level gymnast and has been involved in gymnastics since she was nearly 3 years old. With over 8 years of competitive experience, the sport has been a major part of her life from a young age.

At Imperial Gymnastics Academy, Jayla coaches recreational and tumbling classes, where she loves helping young gymnasts grow in both skill and confidence. With a lifelong passion for the sport and a natural love for working with kids, she’s excited to share the joy of gymnastics with the next generation of athletes.

Coach Julia

Recreational & Tumbling Coach

Julia is a Recreational and Tumbling Coach at Imperial Gymnastics Academy with a strong background in both gymnastics and cheerleading. With many years of experience in both sports, she brings a wealth of knowledge, energy, and passion to every class she leads.

Julia is currently a Division I Acrobatics & Tumbling athlete at Quinnipiac University, where she continues to train and compete at a high level. Her collegiate experience, combined with her years of competitive training, allows her to connect with young athletes and help them develop strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for movement.

Julia is excited to share her experience with the next generation of gymnasts and is committed to creating a fun, positive, and empowering environment for all.

Coach Indi

Recreational & Tumbling Coach


Indi was inspired to start coaching because she loves watching athletes recognize their progress and feel proud as they learn new skills. She grew up immersed in gymnastics, cheer, and dance—and continues her passion for the sport as a current cheer athlete.

Her athletic career includes several impressive achievements, such as earning 5th place at the NCA competition in Dallas with ECE Wicked, becoming a two-time Alvirne High School varsity cheer athlete, and competing on the Worlds team S.W.A.T.

Indi especially enjoys working with teenagers and higher-level athletes, as she connects well with their skill sets and loves coaching athletes close to her age. Her athletes would describe her as encouraging, hardworking, and persistent.
